Hello! I'm Cole and I have been with Cardiac on Campus for three years; 1 year was spent as a general member and I have been a CPR instructor and on the ECG board for 2 years. As a CPR instructor I enjoy educating aspiring healthcare professionals and those outside of the realm of healthcare about how to act in a sudden cardiac arrest emergency before medics arrive on scene, and how early interventions have better patient outcomes. I have been working as an EMT for 2 years, and I am well aware of how much response time can vary, especially in a rural area like the place I live. On the ECG board I am grateful to be able to increase access to healthcare, with free ECG screenings, to help make others more aware of their health and heart conditions they may not be aware of. I graduated from UW in fall 2023. By graduating a semester early, I am hoping to offer more CPR classes, get more time to work as an EMT/ explore an in-hospital ER job, and prepare for my med school application process. During my free time I enjoy working out, listening to music, spending time in the outdoors (especially in the Colorado Rocky Mountains), playing sports, trying especially hard to improve my golf game, volunteering with the Hospital Elderly Life Program at the Meriter Hospital, and providing advice to other students trying to find their way!
