Hello! My name is Carmel Villarama, and I’m a sophomore from Rochester, Minnesota. I’m majoring in Biology on a pre-med track and also pursuing a certificate in Business Spanish. Outside of class, I do research with the Lo Sardo Lab studying genetic variants linked to coronary artery disease, and I also work at UW Health as a phlebotomist! In my free time, I love running, baking, and trying different coffee shops around Madison. I’m super excited to contribute to Cardiac on Campus this year as Community Engagement Chair!
