Maddie Cota, Red Tutu Trot Chair
Pronouns: she/her/hers
Hi! My name is Maddie Cota and I’m a senior from Hudson, WI. I’m pursuing a degree in Biology with certificates in Gender & Women’s Studies and Health in the Humanities — I plan to go to medical school and one day become a physician in Emergency Medicine! Outside of school, I currently work as an EMT in the Madison area and spend some of my free time volunteering for American Family Children’s Hospital in their hematology/oncology unit, as well as conducting research with the Social Kids Lab here on campus. After having multiple people close to me suffer from sudden cardiac arrest and pull through it (thanks to the quick response of CPR initiation and AEDs being close by), the initiatives of Cardiac on Campus really spoke to me and I’m grateful to be part of an organization that works so hard to make a meaningful impact and provide others with the means to prevent SCA/SCD.
